Description We are inviting applications for the role of a Staff Accountant for a well-known organization in Grand Rapids, MI. This role offers an exciting short-term contract employment opportunity. As a Staff Accountant, you will have the responsibility to manage and oversee the financial tasks, including the processing of journal entries, maintaining general ledger records, and supporting audits and tax preparation. Responsibilities: • Accurately process journal entries and ensure they are correctly coded to the right accounts • Oversee the management of accounts receivable, including the tracking of payments and invoicing • Conduct bank and credit card reconciliations using QuickBooks • Maintain up-to-date and accurate general ledger records • Assist in the preparation and review of financial statements and reports • Support the closing processes at the end of the month and year • Aid in the compilation of necessary documentation for audits and tax preparation • Ensure that all accounting practices are in compliance with GAAP and our company's accounting policies • Contribute to improving our accounting team's processes and efficiencies as needed. Requirements • Must have strong knowledge and experience in Accounts Payable (AP) processes • Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR) duties • Demonstrable experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Skilled in making Journal Entries accurately and promptly • Proficiency in using QuickBooks for accounting tasks • Must have advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data management and reporting Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
