Description We are seeking a proficient Staff Accountant to join our team located in Hayward, California. In this role, you will play a crucial role in our Finance department, with a primary focus on project accounting. This opportunity offers a contract to permanent employment prospect. Responsibilities: • Manage accounting functions related to the general ledger. • Update, maintain, and reconcile the Balance Sheet and Income Statement (P& L) accounts. • Review projects for accurate revenue recognition and provide insightful analysis and recommendations. • Ensure all project-related costs are processed efficiently. • Conduct monthly inventories reconciliation and materials analysis. • Assist in the closing of books on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. • Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution of exception items. • Perform Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation and provide detailed analysis. • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax filings. • Conduct various ad-hoc analyses and projects, covering financial forecasting, cash planning, and margin analyses. • Participate in meetings to discuss and recommend improvements for open and emerging business issues. • Assume responsibility in the absence of Accounting Manager, providing guidance to other Accountants.
