Description STAFF ACCOUNTANT - Well-Respected Manufacturer in Lawrenceville Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for numbers and a knack for problem-solving? We’re looking for a Staff Accountant to be an integral part of our client's financial team. In this role, you’ll assist in managing day-to-day financial operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and aiding in decision-making processes to ensure our organization’s success. The Staff Accountant will play a vital role by reconciling accounts, managing financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. You’ll collaborate with their internal financial team to provide accurate reporting, assist with forecasting, and help optimize operational efficiencies. Key Responsibilities: + Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and reconciliations. + Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes to ensure timely reporting. + Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy. + Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjustments, following Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). + Collaborate on preparing financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders. + Support compliance efforts by maintaining documentation for audits and regulatory filings. + Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. + Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance. + Handle accounts receivable transactions and reconcile accounts. + Assist with rebate calculations to ensure accuracy. + Collaborate with distributors on credit memos, rebates, and other adjustments. + Prepare documentation for external audits. + Lead and support special financial projects as assigned. Requirements What We’re Looking For: + Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field. + Minimum of 2 years of corporate accounting experience. + Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls. + Excellent mathematical, analytical, and critical thinking skills. + Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. + Proficient communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal). + Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. + Experience with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP systems (preferred). + Background in the medical device industry (preferred). + CPA certification (a plus).
