Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), maintaining the general ledger, and performing critical balance sheet reconciliations. This role is instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of financial records and providing support for expense tracking and reporting. Key Responsibilities: Accounts Payable & Receivable (AP/AR): Process invoices, payments, and collections while ensuring timely and accurate records. General Ledger Maintenance: Post journal entries, update accounts, and ensure the integrity of financial data. Expense Tracking: Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies. Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations of key accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Financial Reporting Support: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Data Analysis: Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze financial data, create spreadsheets, and generate reports. Compliance: Ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance with accounting standards. Requirements Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably with AP/AR and general ledger responsibilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions). Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams. Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) is a plus.
