Staff Accountant
Description We are looking to welcome a Sr. Staff Accountant to our team, located in Atlanta, Georgia. As part of our team, you will be responsible for various accounting tasks including processing journal entries, preparing balance sheets and income statements, as well as managing intercompany transactions. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the preparation of complex journal entries and account reconciliation, such as cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll • Facilitate the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of the monthly financial close workbook • Implement, maintain, and ensure adherence to internal controls under SOX and accounting procedures, ensuring compliance with GAAP • Oversee capital lease and monthly payment schedules • Manage the fixed asset ledger, depreciation, and reconciliation • Conduct in-depth month-end balance sheet account reconciliations • Oversee the month-end close and journal entries, with minimal supervision • Handle recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation • Analyze and coordinate a variety of financial data, and report it in a useful and understandable manner • Participate in various department-wide initiatives • Undertake ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) operations • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Strong understanding of General Ledger management • Experience in creating and managing Journal Entries • Proven skills in performing Month End Close procedures • Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software • Proficiency in using Oracle financial software • Solid experience with QuickBooks accounting software • Knowledge and experience with SAP financial system Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
