Description We are in search of a Staff Accountant to join our Marketing/PR team in New York. This role involves assisting the finance department in various accounting tasks including maintaining accurate financial records, handling business transactions, and resolving vendor issues. This position offers a long term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Handle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable efficiently • Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy • Maintain and support vendor relationships • Prepare and record journal entries as per business transactions • Utilize QuickBooks for various accounting operations • Monitor and manage bank transactions effectively • Issue invoices and manage collections as necessary • Work closely with the Director of Finance to ensure smooth financial operations. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrable experience in performing Bank Reconciliations • Ability to record and manage Journal Entries with accuracy • Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks software • Experience in managing and recording Bank Transactions • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel • Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
