As a member of our client-facing finance team, the Staff Accountant performs full-cycle accounting for 10-12 golf courses located throughout the U.S. Responsibilities include partnering with internal groups such as accounts payable and fellow staff accountants, as well as field operations staff, to provide timely and accurate financial reporting and exceptional customer service.

Position Responsibilities:

· Reconciling bank accounts, posting journal entries and balancing general and subsidiary ledgers

· Performing month-end processes

· Preparation of financial statements including Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow, and Cost of Goods Sold Analysis

· Balance sheet reconciliations

· Financials statement analysis

· Cash flow forecasting and management

· Sales & Use tax filings

· Payroll reconciliations

· Financial statements audits and reviews

· Perform other accounting functions as directed by senior management

The Ideal Candidate will be:

· A self-starter, that can work independently during the month-end close process

· Personable and can communicate with accountants and non-accountants alike

· A multi-tasker that can work in multiple sets of books while meeting their required deadlines

Requirements

· 4-year college degree in accounting or finance preferred

· 1-3 years accounting experience in a fast-paced environment

· CPA (or working towards certification) preferred, but not required

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong time management and organizational skills

· High attention to detail and accuracy

· Excellent computer skills

· Accounting software applications experience (Sage, MAS 500 preferred)
