Job Description
The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of accounting activities to support operations and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles. This role reports to the VP of Finance and operates within a growing company that prioritizes quality and safety in sterile drug manufacturing. The position is based on-site, Monday through Friday.
ResponsibilitiesProcess accounts payable, including invoice data entry and confirmation of purchase orders and receiving documents.Reconcile vendor and credit card statements.Post entries to the General Ledger system.Assist with month-end close as needed.Handle client invoicing as needed.Conduct business in compliance with state, OSHA, and Federal regulations.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProficiency in processing accounts payable, managing around 200 invoices weekly.Experience in the manufacturing industry.General Ledger accounting.Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).One or more years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience.Associates degree in accounting or a related field.Additional Skills & QualificationsThree or more years of relevant experience or a combination of education and experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field preferred.SAP experience is preferred but not required.Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills.Effective verbal and written communication skills.Strong sense of urgency and commitment to meeting deadlines.Organized and detail-oriented.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Work Environment
The work environment is an office setting, with a strong Accounting and Finance team supporting a growing business. The position requires working on-site every day.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
