Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a solid foundation in accounting principles to support financial operations. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure accurate and timely transactions. • Perform bank reconciliations to maintain up-to-date financial records. • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. • Assist in the month-end close process, including reconciliation of accounts and financial reporting. • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle to manage financial data efficiently. • Conduct regular reviews of the general ledger to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Contribute to financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making processes. • Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline accounting procedures. • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries. • Leverage tools like Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, to analyze and organize financial data. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting with attention to detail. • Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle. • Strong knowledge of accounting practices, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger management. • Intermediate Excel skills, including experience with VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables. • Familiarity with the construction industry is a plus. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
