Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in the Restaurants & Catering industry based in Chicago, Illinois. In this role, you will handle various accounting responsibilities, including processing accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions • Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure financial integrity • Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate accounting records • Prepare journal entries as part of the month-end close process • Monitor customer accounts and handle any inquiries or issues • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer credit records • Implement efficient credit application processing procedures • Ensure accuracy in all financial documents and reports. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field • Proven experience working as a Staff Accountant, preferably within the Restaurants & Catering industry • Proficiency in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) • Demonstrated ability to perform Bank Reconciliations • Extensive knowledge of General Ledger operations • Experience with creating Journal Entries • Familiarity with the process of Month End Close • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work • Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
