Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in Odessa, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including providing accurate financial reports, reconciling accounts, and performing key accounting duties. This role offers a contract employment opportunity for 3-6 months. Responsibilities: • Provide accurate financial reporting to assist in strategic decision making • Carry out account reconciliations to maintain precise records and check for discrepancies • Adhere to all financial regulations and standards to ensure legal compliance • Use advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, to manage and analyze financial data • Operate QuickBooks for efficient financial management • Manage both Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) to control cash flow • Perform Bank Reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting • Supervise the General Ledger and ensure all entries are accurate and up-to-date • Oversee the Month End Close process to finalize financial records for the month. Requirements • Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures • Skill in managing Accounts Receivable (AR) • Experience performing Bank Reconciliations • Familiarity with General Ledger operations • Ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently • Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
