Description My client is a highly prestigious, well established professional services company located in the heart of NYC. This company is a subsidiary of a larger global conglomerate. The core general ledger services are being handled by the parent companies Shared Services team. The VP of Accounting (Public/Private/CPA) is looking for an exceptional senior accountant to add to their team. They are creating a net new role to bring inhouse from the Shared Services team the GL role . They are in the office 5 days a week in NYC. As always, these are permanent, full time, fully benefited salaried positions (these are NOT temp, or temp to perm). Compensation is based on experience: The range is between $75k - $85k base + bonus What you will do: + Working on the Month End Close and Financial Statements + Work within the general ledger + Handling reconciliations, journal entries, accruals + Analyze items on the balance sheet + Handle some AP Who are you? + Open to straight public auditors or industry accountants + A minimum of a BA/BS in Accounting from a top accredited school + 2+ years of experience. Exceptional communications skills are required. A great dynamic personality and the ability to work along your fellow colleagues is crucial.
