SSE-NetApp Storage Engineer
Position Description:

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced NetApp Storage Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating, deploying, and managing NetApp storage solutions across on-premises data centers and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApp technologies (e.g., ONTAP, CVO, Metrocluster, StorageGRID) and a strong understanding of storage architecture, performance optimization, and security best practices.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Evaluation and Deployment: Assess and deploy various NetApp Storage products (including ONTAP filers, FSx ONTAP, Cloud Volumes ONTAP (CVO)) in NetApp Data Centers and regional cloud environments.
3. Storage Administration and Management: Deploy, configure, and manage NetApp storage systems (CDOT, CVO) and troubleshoot performance issues. Perform firmware and OS upgrades, utilize storage management tools (e.g., OnCommand Unified Manager, Performance Manager, Insight), and manage backup integrations.
6. Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize storage resource utilization, and implement tuning techniques to improve efficiency.
8. ONTAP Upgrades: Plan, execute, troubleshoot and Perform ONTAP upgrades, including Disk ,DQP, SP ,Firmware and BIOS.
10. MetroCluster Upgrades: Plan, execute, troubleshoot and perform MetroCluster upgrades.
12. Switch Upgrades: Plan, execute, troubleshoot and Perform upgrades for Cisco and Brocade switches.
14. StorageGRID Management: Implement, configure, and manage StorageGRID solutions, ensuring high availability and optimized performance for object storage.


Required Skills and Experience:

• 8+ years of experience in installation, management, and support of enterprise storage systems.
• Strong understanding of NetApp Storage concepts, including snapshots, controller failover, provisioning, deduplication, cloning, SnapMirror, and Snaplock.
• Expertise in storage monitoring, troubleshooting, administration, replication technologies, security hardening, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of ITIL methodologies, including change, incident, problem, and configuration management.
• Familiarity with outsourcing/managed services and cloud-managed services.
• ITIL Fundamentals certification is a plus.
• Experience with disaster recovery (DR) solutions, DR tests, and backup technologies.
• Hands-on experience with MetroCluster setup and management.
• Excellent communication skills, including customer-facing support and detailed documentation.
• Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable approach to work, with a focus on innovation.
