**Sr. Trade Compliance Analyst** We are looking for a Trade Compliance Sr. Analyst to join our global trade compliance team! As our Trade Compliance Sr. Analyst, you will assist and support the CA and multi-national business units in complying with, as well as the ongoing preparation, testing and monitoring of conformance to, the requirements of government regulations and/or regulatory agencies. You will provide support to all aspects of global trade compliance covered by Global Affairs Canada, and similar regulations in non-Canadian jurisdictions such as the EU, UK, US, ITAR, EAR, OFAC, and others as the need arises. While primary responsibilities are to the Ottawa based operations, growth within the team is available for every aspect of international trade compliance in multiple jurisdictions. The Global Trade Compliance [GTC] Sr. Analyst will support Curtiss-Wright's Global Trade Compliance activities in Canada. Reporting to the GTC Director, the GTC Sr. Analyst will be the primary trade compliance resource for Curtiss-Wright operations in Ottawa, responsible for executing the company's trade compliance strategy and ensuring robust risk mitigation management consistent with U.S. and Canadian regulatory requirements. Location: **Ottawa, ON** **We Take Care of Our People** RRSP with Employer Match I Health and Wellness Benefits I Learning and Development Opportunities I Competitive Pay I Referral Program I Recognition **Your Challenge:** + Collaborate with GTC management and other compliance leads to ensure effective support to Curtiss-Wright operating location in Ottawa. + Implement GTC policies and procedures and serve as subject matter expert for Curtiss-Wright business in Ottawa. + Maintain constructive working relationships with business unit management and stakeholders. + Develop and maintain business relationships with Canadian government regulators. + Submit, manage and ensure effective implementation of Canadian and U.S. export authorizations and licenses. + Implement and maintain appropriate recordkeeping for all authorizations, permits, licenses and export registrations. + Coordinate the preparation of and prepare document packages for regulatory submissions from all areas of company as well as for internal and external audits and inspections. + Act as an “Alternate Designated Official” and serve as the primary liaison with the Canadian Controlled Goods Directorate. + Act as back-up to the GTC Director for all Canada operations + Satisfy all applicable reporting requirements. + Assist with trade compliance investigations, risk mitigation, audits and self-assessments. + Stay current with trade compliance laws, regulations, directives, rules, and policies. + Work closely with GTC colleagues to ensure consistent, accurate communication and implementation of trade compliance goals and objectives. **What You Bring:** + Proficiency in reading and speaking the English language. + A minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a trade compliance professional in Canada. + Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, etc. + Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks. + Result Oriented, strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with strong decision-making capabilities + Subject matter expertise for Canadian and U.S. trade compliance laws and regulations. + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong time management and prioritization skills to maximize efficiency. + In-depth knowledge of government regulations including Canada’s Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Export Control List (ECL), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) + Domain knowledge managing the export and import of items subject to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program, Canadian Export Controls, the DDTC, and BIS regulations. + No objection to background check, as permitted by applicable law. + Graduate of a higher-learning institution (i.e. university). + Ability and experience working with government of Canada regulatory sites and portals including but not limited to Global Affairs Canada (GAC), New EXCOL, Controlled Goods Program (CGP), etc. + Experience applying for permits and licenses from the respective government agencies + Experience with Canada permit applications, including but not limited to preparing documents, completing the application, tracking the application status, and facilitating the permit approval process as needed. **Company Information** **Transform Your Tomorrow...** _Today at Curtiss-Wright._ At Curtiss-Wright, you have the opportunity to transform the way our customers do business, as well as transform your career.
