Sr. Technical Program Manager - Financial Products
**About the Role** The Financial Products team at Uber builds and scales innovative financial solutions for our earners and consumers worldwide. With a focus on products like Earner and Merchant Lending, Uber Pro Debit, Consumer Credit, and more, the Brazil-based team drives key initiatives that improve financial access and flexibility for drivers, merchants, consumers and couriers. Join us in shaping the future of financial empowerment at Uber. **What the Candidate Will Do** - Lead the end-to-end delivery of complex, high-impact technical programs — from initial concept through launch and ongoing iteration — with a focus on financial products such as payments, lending, and stored value systems. - Partner closely with Engineering, Product, Data Science, Legal, and Compliance teams to design and implement scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that meet both user needs and regulatory requirements. - Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies; resolve issues before they impact timelines or quality of delivery. - Drive cross-functional strategic planning processes, including defining program scope, aligning on priorities, managing resources, and communicating tradeoffs to stakeholders. - Establish clear success metrics and tracking mechanisms to ensure programs deliver measurable business value. - Act as a central point of coordination across global and regional teams, aligning efforts and ensuring consistent execution across multiple workstreams. - Champion operational excellence by continuously improving program delivery frameworks, communication channels, and team collaboration models. **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. - 8+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager or Engineering Manager in software or systems development. - Proven success in managing end-to-end delivery of technical programs in the payments or financial technology domain. - Strong technical acumen, with experience in distributed systems and microservice architectures. - Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and drive alignment. - Mastery of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and tools. - English Proficiency **Preferred Qualifications** - Proven track record of launching critical products, ideally in FinTech, payments, or other regulated industries. - Deep understanding of financial services, including payment systems, consumer lending, debit/credit cards, and payment processing. - Experience navigating regulatory and compliance frameworks. - Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills; adept at defining and tracking program KPIs. - Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional initiatives in fast-paced, ambiguous environments. - Skilled in strategic planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder coordination. - Exceptional multitasking and prioritization abilities across concurrent projects.
