**About the Role**
We are looking to add a (Sr.)Tax Analyst to our EMEA team to support our international presence.
Are you a team player, not afraid of a rapidly changing environment, and technically sharp? Do you love tax technical debates, are strong at analytical thinking, possess a passion for details, and are able to perform under pressure? Then Uber offers you a role with a Tax Business Advisory team at the heart of the company.

In your role, you will work in a highly motivated and multicultural team. You’ll work closely together with the Operations, Product, Fintech, and other stakeholders in designing Uber’s latest products and features. Key is to understand the business needs while providing full tax support to deliver a seamless, tax-compliant, and efficient experience for Uber, our Partners, and End Users.
**What You'll Do**
- Provide full end-to-end tax support (mostly transactional taxes) on strategic initiatives and projects as well as new products while managing tax risks and ensuring tax requirements are implemented.
- Challenge the status quo and identify opportunities for improvement in Uber’s existing business.
- Design, test and implement scalable improvements and solutions to the tax issues you identify.
- Perform tax research (case law, EU/OECD developments, country-specific tax legislation across EMEA).
- Provide ad-hoc tax advice and support to regional tax leads and other stakeholders
- Work with the tax team on unique and challenging new Uber Eats projects and other strategic initiatives.
**What You Need**
- 4+ years of relevant tax experience in a law firm, Big 4, or industry.
- At least a bachelor's degree in law, accounting, finance or a related discipline; relevant professional qualification (e.g. CTA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) or LLM in Tax would be an advantage.
- Indirect and direct tax knowledge and/or experience (we are looking for a tax generalist with a good understanding of EU VAT concepts).
- Passionate about Uber products and attention to detail.
- Excellent English (written and verbal communication skills).
- A second language/international experience is an advantage.
- Hands-on, independent, able to multitask and prioritize.
We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently. If you have the curiosity, passion, and collaborative spirit, work with us, and let’s move the world forward, together.
