Sr. Supply Chain Protein Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a competitive price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct. Sources, negotiates, and assures supply for contracted food and packaging items for company and franchisee locations. Prepares, reviews, and analyzes contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications.Presents recommendations for supplier awards to management for approval.Provides promotional planning, pricing, and inventory management for Food Service distributors for assigned product categories.Manages commodity cost and import program for raw materials.Create and maintain pricing formulas to reflect accurate and competitive finished cost of goods.Communicates regularly with Senior Management, Franchise and Company Operations to ensure all are aware of changing market conditions and product availability. Work effectively with cross functional team to ensure successful execution of LTOs, tests, and product launches.Monitors industry and markets and takes appropriate action to achieve required negotiation results.

 

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Oversee and manage assigned contracts.Maintains and documents data for products and or services negotiations, market comparatives, accruals, pricing, and inventory management.Manage assigned categories contract process including bid analyses.Develop KPI’s and review performance data with suppliers and provide reports to management.Lead and develop strategic supplier relationships.Manage a network of suppliers to ensure performance that meets Checkers/Rally’s requirements.Ensure supply & minimize risk of disruption.Develop and execute commodity risk management for assigned categories, protecting against upside risk and taking advantage of downside opportunities.Possess thorough understanding of all the commodity cost inputs that impact to the various proteinsComplete understanding of import process, including plant approval, import requirements.Development and management of formula pricing to establish finished product cost.Coordinate optimal inventory, minimum/maximum levels to achieve highest level of service while controlling costs.Resolve operator and distributor issues related to product or supply in a timely manner.

Education and Training:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business or equivalent offset experience in related fields.

Prior Experience:

A minimum of 10-12 years Procurement experience within the Foodservice Restaurant Brand Industry, or equivalent offset experience in related fields, with a strong background in proteins.
