Sr./Staff Process Integration Engineer
Sr./Staff Process Integration Engineer Department: Engineering and R&D Employment Type: Full Time Location: Valencia, California Reporting To: Director of Process Engineering Compensation: $100,000 - $130,000 / year Description This is a position offering excellent professional and career development in Knowles Precision Device Division. In this critical role, the Process Integration Engineer will be working side-by-side with Process Engineering, Equipment Engineering, Test Engineering, Product Management, Supply chain, Planning, QA and R&D teams at Knowles Valencia and be responsible for manufacturing process development, optimization, introducing new assembly technology and equipment to ensure process that are stable, high yielding and cost effective. The position will be based at Knowles Valencia CA Site. Key Responsibilities + Coordinate with cross functional teams to conduct and implement the Plan for processes DoE and Optimization to timely meet project cost and schedule objectives. + Responsible to lead the troubleshooting of the integrated processes through large process data mapping/analysis and come out the solutions. + Create visibility to key metrics including project status, project funnel, process capability measures, SPC, etc. + Lead team to achieve the financial objectives including yield target and scrap target. + Evaluate, prioritize and justify capital expenditures to support process improvement projects. + Coordinate the automation programs to drive the productivity improvement. Skills, Knowledge and Expertise + Bachelors, or advanced degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Materials, Industrial engineering, Statistical or equivalent. + 5+ Experience in semi-conductor advanced manufacturing process, process data analysis, MLCC fabrication and process related failure analysis experience preferred + Must have good coordination, facilitation and communication skills. + Familiarity with ceramic capacitor process and characterization, including but not limited to mylar tape casting, screen printing, firing, viscosity, ceramic capacitor electrical testing will be plus. + Familiarity with advanced manufacturing engineering techniques, i.e. D.O.E., JMP, Six Sigma and statistical analysis. + Experience in project management + Demonstrated experience deploying lean methodologies and process controls + Strong working knowledge of MS Suite including advance skills with Microsoft Excel Benefits What’s in it for you on Day 1: + Medical, dental and vision insurance plans + Prescription Drug Plans + Basic Life Insurance + 401k plan with company match + Tuition Reimbursement Program + Employee Referral Program + PTO and Paid Sick Leave + Paid Holidays Exciting Onsite Perks: + Free coffee available at our cafeteria + Employee Appreciation Events Knowles is committed to providing a competitive and fair total compensation package for all employees. One element in our total compensation package is base pay. The starting salary for this role is targeted to be between $100,000 and $130,000 per year. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to previous experience and skills acquired prior to joining Knowles, cost of living in the assigned work location, assigned schedule, and salaries of similarly situated peers at the company.
