CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join our Corporate - Finance Team at our Albany, NY office location.

YOUR IMPACTCHA's corporate support teams provide vital specialized services to our technical business lines and market teams including, financial, legal, marketing, business development, human resources, information technology and operational services. These teams may also support clients when their skills and expertise are required.
The Sr. Staff Accountant will support multiple facets of the Finance team. The responsibilities will include updating and maintaining budgets, creating accurate reports, working with outside auditors, collaborating on financial integration efforts for M&A targets, and analyzing issues and troubleshooting to resolve. Specific technical knowledge of GAAP accounting and compliance, finance, as well as attention to detail, multi- tasking, and organization skills are critical in this role.

REQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience requiredA minimum of 7 years progressive accounting experience requiredKnowledge of GAAP and experience with budgets requiredExperience with contract and/or FAR audits and related regulatory requirements is preferredFederal and multi-state corporate tax and compliance knowledge is a plusExperience in the consulting or engineering industry preferredMust possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, be solutions oriented, client focused, and maintain confidentiality with the company’s financial and personnel informationMust be organized and reliableAbility to meet critical business deadlinesAbility to work independently on assigned tasks as well as to accept direction on given assignmentsAbility to take on new tasks with high level of difficultySuperior analytical and problem-solving skillsProficient in Microsoft Excel SALARY RANGE:$76,000 - $91,250
Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
