Job Description

Essential Responsibilities (but are not limited to):

Work in a global environment, collaborating with product owners, architects and technical leaders to understand requirements and user stories and thereby develop quality software as member of the Scrum team (Agile Methodology).Ensure code quality, test coverage and adherence to various quality parameters per GE quality manual. Demonstrate a quality mindset in all aspects of deliverable for our customers.Ensure that the implementation results in reusable software assets. Document requirements, designs, verifications, and other key development activities in accordance with established GE Healthcare and local quality processes.Identify technical risks, quality shortfalls and flag for resolution.Perform integration & verification activities at component and sub-system levels.Investigate and help resolve product complaints reported by customers / field engineers.Participate in team meetings, introspection sessions and other group activities.Learn and understand clinical relevance of MR Visualization applications and platform components.Facilitate the use of latest tools, techniques and development environments that enhance team’s productivity. Share best practices with other software engineering groups within GE Healthcare.Partner with global teams to promote consistency in development practices, tools and methods.Ensure all actions and software delivered are compliant with GE Healthcare regulations. Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position.Support compliance/closure of Regulatory and Quality requirements before completing Design Outputs/Program Deliverables.

Educational Qualifications:

A Bachelor 's Degree or Higher in Computer Science Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or related field, with 6+ years of software design & development experience.

Required Skills:

6+ Years of experience in Software Development for complex projects of global nature.Extensive experience with agile software methodologies like SCRUM, CI/CD.Strong knowledge in Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Programming (OOP) conceptsProficiency in Microservices, Spring boot & Messaging Broker (RabbitMQ) in Linux environment.Extensive experience in JAVA, HTML5, JAVA Script, Type Script, Angular 2+ based UI technologies, Single Page Applications (SPA).Proficient in understanding front end application consuming backend micro services.Experience in usage of testing methodologies like TDD/BDD and usage of tools like Cypress, JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, Jasmine, Mocha.JS, Chai.JS, karma, etc for writing Unit Tests and Integration Tests.Proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, Grade/MAVEN build environments.Experience with implementation of micro services / containers.Experience with industry software development practices, tools and environments including practical usage of version control management (GitLab), Defect Tracking Tools and Debuggers.Preferable in understanding backend micro services (containerized or otherwise).
