The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the analysis and development of software solutions specific to the store point of sale environment and payments. The position requires experience in store systems, online payments, and payment platforms. This person will partner with peers and business partners in order to drive business value. 

Responsibilities Analyze requirements to define project-based objectives that align system features and functionalityDesign and modify XStore user interfaces and XStore integrationsWork with payment providers to provide Foot Locker with enhancements and upgradesDesign and develop user interfaces to web based applications; advocating design methodologies and tool sets; completing programming using languages and software productsDesign and conduct unit testing (automated and manual)Integrate applications and frameworks using various java-based technologiesComplete application development in an agile environment by contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platformsProvide off-hour assistance and support during critical outage situations. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related preferredMinimum years’ experience: 5Passion and knowledge in (a specific field or industry): retail systems, online paymentsExperience with Store POS systems is requiredExperience with Oracle XStore is preferredExperience with online payments and payment platforms is required.Experience with FreedomPay and Adyen is preferredExperience with Java programming language is requiredExperience with .NET, C# programming languageExperience with SQL Server and Oracle databases is requiredExperience with both Windows and Linux/Unix operating systemsAbility to break complex problems down into actionable solutionsStrong technical programming and analytical skillsStrong diagnostic and problem solving skills. Strong organizational and time management skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skillsExperience with Agile software development processesExperience working on cross functional global teams, multitasking and managing time independently with little direction

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $90000 to $135000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
