Sr. Software Engineer, Energy Storage & Distribution

Responsibilities Develop algorithms and controllers in an embedded-C environment for battery management features and related applications for our commercial and customer fleet. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and integrate vehicle-wide functions. Identify software architecture and specifications while working with multiple stakeholders for a robust and efficient energy storage system software. Write automated tests for the software components, using unit, SIL, and physical HIL tests. Create scalable architectures and designs keeping in mind Functional Safety and DFMEAs. Lead technical meetings with peers and management to review feature design and performance. Guide teams with their test plans to achieve design and validation goals. Participate in code reviews during development sprints. Provide technical feedback to drive quality design. Qualifications Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent engineering or sciences. 6+ years’ experience in embedded programming in C or C++. Proficient in test-driven development with developer-driven coverage from different test targets (HIL/SIL/Unit). 4+ years’ experience developing code to manage components such as DCDC, battery, eFuses, sensors, etc. 4+ years’ experience designing or developing BMS algorithms or equivalent. Experience working with advanced 32-bit multi-core microcontrollers. Experience working with CAN, LIN, UDS, DoIP communication interfaces. Experience working in a Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS) environment. Strong interpersonal skills. Pay Disclosure Salary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants: $135,100 - 168,900 USD (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
