Partner with the bestAs a Sr. Software Engineer for Completions Digital Products, you will be a key contributor responsible for designing, developing, and testing software. You will be part of a team in the effort to create solutions and services tailored to the needs of the CWI business as well as our external customers.
In this role, you will also be responsible for:
Defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast paced and agile development environment using the latest software development methods and infrastructureSupporting impact assessment and decision related to technology choices, design /architectural considerations, and implementation strategy.Collaborating with system engineers, data scientists, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.Applying principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean / Agile / XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques.Writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality aligned with Baker Hughes standards and guidelines

To be successful in this role you will:
Have a bachelor’s degree in computer science or “STEM” Majors.Have 7+ years of professional experience in digital technology.Have a minimum of 4 years of experience in Computer Science or Engineering within the oil and gas industryHave substantial experience working with Angular in past projects. Familiarity and proficiency with ASP.NET Core and .NET frameworks is also essential.Have previous experience working with Offshore teams globally.Have the demonstrated ability to develop robust software solutions using these technologies is required.Have previous experience integrating software with hardware for testing purposes. This includes knowledge of hardware-software interaction principles and methodologies.Have a proven ability to troubleshoot issues arising from the interaction between software and hardware components.Have strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to, hardware engineers, QA testers, and product managers.Additional Qualification:
Experience using a CI/CD pipelines to automate buildsHand on experience working with Linux Operating SystemsPrevious experience with Relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, NoSQL, Postgres etc.)Experience developing REST APIsExperience writing unit testsExperience implementing and configuring systems, including installing and commissioning software and hardwareBaker Hughes does not provide visa sponsorship for this position.This in-office opportunity will be in our Houston office at Yorktown Plaza Drive, and we are not offering relocation assistance.
