Responsibilities

The Senior Software Developer develops application software to support various IT initiatives at Berkley Re America.  Key functions include but are not limited to:

Attend project-related software development meetings. Collaborate with developers.Analyze, design, code, test and deploy relevant software products related to reinsurance.Work with business users to gather business requirements, test results as well as identify and uncover issues.

 

Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.  Eight years of experience as an application developer. Must have experience in requirement analysis, system design and development.  Must have proven experience in developing applications using C#, .Net core, Web API, MVC, ADO.Net, Entity Framework, LINQ, JSON, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, Angular 8 and later, Node JS, IIS, Visual Studio.NET, VS Code, TFS, Git, Atlassian Tools.  Thorough understanding of RDBMS with ability to write DDL, DML scripts, stored procedure, triggers, views, knowledge of no SQL. UML skills and working knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design patterns required. The candidate should have advanced knowledge of Insurance or Reinsurance (Assumed and Ceded) as well as a firm grasp of the systems that support them, Risk Modelling Systems etc., Additional Company Details We do not accept any unsolicited resumes from external recruiting firms.
