Job Summary
KBR has an exciting opportunity for experienced Sr. Software Configuration Management and Build Engineer to support our operations within the Airborne Electronic Attack (AEA) Integrated Project Team (IPT) at Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWPS) NAS Point Mugu, CA.
The candidate will be responsible for performing configuration management of software, creating software builds, creating software installs, and installing the software onto computers. As well as prepare software version description documents which will identify all of the changes that have gone into the software and document all of the known defects in the software. The candidate will work closely with project managers, software developers, and testers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Configuration Management: Manage repositories, establish, document and follow branching practices, as well as communicating these items to the teamUse Agile tools and methodologies to document PI plans, Sprint Goals, and update sprint and Kanban progress for team milestones and demos.Perform preliminary software smoke testing and high-level functional testingWrite the software version descriptions (SVD)Prepare Installations: Create and update InstallShield project files for software and database installs-Debug installsSet up and assist SW engineers to download, configure and operate VMsCoordinate Sprint deliveries with CI/CD release schedulesOther tasks include documenting processes and suggesting process improvements.Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited institutionTen (10) years of work experienceApplicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Preferred Qualifications:
SAFe® Scaled Agile For enterprise v4.6 or laterPrevious experience with Agile planning and tracking using Azure DevOps or Atlassian JiraProficiency with GIT based software CM using git, git-lfs, (Tortoise Git or other GUI equivalent)VMware workstation application (or equivalent) for Virtual Machine managementAutomation Scripting (bash, DOS, python)CI/CD pipeline configuration with YAML and/or JSONInstallShield® Professional 2022 or laterInstallScript coding for building customized Microsoft windows installers.Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Office, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMSBasic Compensation:
