The Sr. Security Consultant – Data Security will serve as a subject matter expert for services and solutions supporting the data security business within our customer base. The Consultant will help clients gain insight and context to their complex data security environments and provide services and technology recommendations to assess, improve, and build infrastructure, processes and policies in order to meet the client’s needs.

This role will report to the Practice Manager - Network Security Operations.

 

This position is remote with a Home Office setup as determined by Stratascale management.

Responsibilities Provide expertise within the focused practice discipline for client initiatives in the form of technology solution and service offering deliveryProactively identify customer needs/requirements through data, customer engagement and other methods to recommend appropriate solutions and services opportunitiesEngage with internal sales and technical teams to support solution sales cycle, qualify opportunities, close open pipeline, scope and ensure successful solution deliveryStay educated and certified on new product technology, tangential team capabilities, and other specific offerings or programs emerging within our company and within the compliance frameworks and standards industryIdentify areas for continued advancement of strategies aligned with Industry direction, client need, practice scope and present solutions to leadershipProvide subject matter expertise on data security specific capabilities to help customers design and implement solutions from a process, policy and technology perspective such as but not limited to: Data Loss Prevention, Discovery and Classification; Data Security Governance, encryption; obfuscation; key management and DRM applied to a hybrid compute environment including cloud native controls such as AWS/Macie, Azure and 365, Google Cloud DLPProvide subject matter expertise supporting compliance requirements related to data security and privacy such as but not limited to PCI-DSS, GDPR, HiPAA, CCPA.Deliver trainings or create training content to internal teams on practice discipline capability, associated offerings, industry positioning and selling strategiesExecute consulting projects by creating deliverables, completing project deliverables successfully, and ensuring client needs and practice obligations are met successfullyConsistently deliver quality client services by driving high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budgetConsistently obtain status updates with customers to ensure alignment with project scope scheduling, and documentationInitiate project scope and lead the scope development and project delivery of all assignments Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experienceMinimum 7+ years client-facing experience working on designing and implementing complex security solutions including data security components listed aboveProven understanding of security services engagement delivery, scope and level of effortExperience delivering complex solutions on time, successfullyExperience providing consultative guidance on solutions with ability to scope and develop level of effortExperience deploying platforms for an enterprise, and knowledge on key factors to consider when planning the deploymentSolid level of security industry knowledge, focused on Data Security, Governance and PrivacyStrong fundamental understanding of technical security solutions and how they address customer risk exposure and solve key use cases Required Skills Demonstrate a real passion for team technology solutions design and deliveryOutstanding written and verbal communicationProactive and self-motivated mindsetAbility to work effectively, add value as a team member for the practice disciplineAbility to train and disseminate information within an area or operation and work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externallyAbility to influence and lead all aspects of sales cycle and engage appropriate internal and external subject matter experts as neededAbility to engage and discuss technical and non-technical concepts with a wide array of customer audience types including C-Suite, VP/Director, Architect, Engineer and Analyst resourcesAbility to participate and lead demand generation and marketing efforts focused on pipeline generation when neededWillingness, drive and winning mindset to compete in customer opportunitiesPoses an ability to simplify and explain complex problems to stakeholders of all levels across multiple functionsUnderstand solutions supporting data security for structured and unstructured formatsEntrepreneurial mindset with ability to identify value in unstructured situationEmotional intelligence, flexible work style, and excellent diplomatic skills across all levels of the organizationAttention to detail, organization, and follow up skills are criticalAbility to write, communicate and present subject matter to audiences of multiple levelsAbility and initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitudeExcellent presentation skills and comfortable leading meetings and discussionsAbility to support competitive selling motions and act as SME for project scope development Certifications Required Certifications below are desired and not limited to the following:Industry certifications:CISSPCIAMCISM / CISA / CRISCGIAC (GSEC)Vendor Solutions and product-specific certifications and knowledge:Broadcom, McAfee, Digital Guardium, Netskope, ForcepointSpirion, Titus, Bolden James, Varonis, Stealthbits, Thales, Code42, CipherCloudExperience working with Microsoft Purview  Unique Requirements

• Travel to partner sites, customer sites, conferences and Stratascale offices up to 10% annually

Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $165,000 - $240,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
