The Sr. Scrum Master manages small to large enterprise-level programs that have department or enterprise-level importance, moderate to high risk and risk interdependencies, several interrelationships, and moderate to high costs associated with delivery. The Sr. Scrum Master supports programs of major complexity as part of a program team in support of higher-level programs or program managers.
+ **Fostering Communication -** creating channels and translating Scrum nuanced language
+ **Tool Maintenance** - administer the Scrum tools and framework.
+ **Reporting** - creating and delivering reporting framework for team members and management.
+ **Meeting Facilitation** - sprint planning, daily scrum/standups, retrospectives
+ **Agile Coaching and mentoring** - 1:1 with Scrum team members, stakeholders, and management
+ **Team Support** - facilitating communication.
+ **Remove Blockers** - work with the team to understand blockers, work to remove them.
**Support the Product Owner in the following areas**
+ Ensuring that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible.
+ Finding techniques for effective Product Backlog management.
+ Helping the Scrum Team understand the need for clear and concise Product Backlog items.
+ Understanding product planning in an empirical environment.
+ Ensuring the Product Owner knows how to arrange the Product Backlog to maximize value.
+ Understanding and practicing agility and facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed.
**Serves the Development Team in several ways, including:**
+ Coaching the Development Team in self-organization and cross-functionality.
+ Helping the Development Team to create high value products.
+ Removing impediments to the Development Teams progress.
+ Facilitating Scrum events as requested or needed; and,
+ Coaching the Development Team in organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood.
**Serve the company in several ways, including:**
+ Leading and coaching the company in its Scrum adoption.
+ Planning Scrum implementations within the company.
+ Helping employees and stakeholders understand and enact Scrum and empirical product development.
+ Working with other Scrum masters to increase the effectiveness of the application of Scrum in the company.
+ **Other Responsibilities include the following:**
+ Works with business and technology teams to ensure business needs are clearly understood and the technology implemented meets the needs and expectations of the business.
+ Creates and manages the artifacts required for governance approval for medium to large-scale projects.
+ Tailors the use of specific project management techniques to each assignment (e.g. emphasizing risk management, or change management).
+ Reports status to the Program Team / RTE, and escalates changes, issues, risks for resolution as needed.
+ Collaborates with RTE, Program Team, and/or Procurement teams to acquire the resources necessary to produce the project on time and within budget.
+ Achieves project objectives in conformance with Healthfirst project management methodologies and standards.
+ Responsible for supporting all release management activities working in partnership with the RTE and Release Management
+ Practices Servant Leadership to ensure successful delivery across all the scrum / delivery teams
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ 7+ years experience as Scrum master
+ HS Diploma or GED from accredited institution
+ Experience in managing or working on programs across multiple departments using an SDLC methodology and Agile/Scrum methodology.
+ Experience with application and/or systems implementations or upgrades.
+ Experience working in a Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environment.
**Preferred Requirements:**
+ Bachelors degree
+ Certifications such as CSM or PMP
+ Technical Knowledge and/or experience with multiple Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pair Programming, Automated Testing.
+ Industry work experience in healthcare such as hospital, managed or long-term care, insurance, government, or other healthcare agency.
+ Experience leading teams focusing on professional growth and development and organizational goals.
