The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to join our dynamic Revenue team. Reporting directly to the Senior Revenue Manager, this role is critical in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our US GAAP revenue accounting processes.

Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. A successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on the role, job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base salary for roles in Colorado, California, and New York.

The current range for this role is $93,000 - $145,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits.

What You’ll Do

Review / perform / support revenue accounting activities such as:

Month-End Close: Lead and support month-end revenue accounting activities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Deal Review & Documentation: Conduct comprehensive deal reviews, prepare detailed checklists, and ensure all documentation aligns with company policies. Technical Accounting: Perform in-depth technical accounting reviews and draft memos that clearly communicate complex revenue issues. Revenue Recognition: Service revenue recognition and oversee the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) recognition process, including reconciliations. Deferred & Unbilled Revenue Analysis: Analyze deferred and unbilled revenue accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. Process Improvement: Continuously seek opportunities to streamline and enhance existing procedures, driving operational efficiency. Automation & Continuous Improvement: Collaborate on projects that promote automation and ongoing improvements in the revenue recognition process. Revenue Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly revenue flux analyses and other ad-hoc reports for senior management review. Internal Controls: Maintain and strengthen internal controls to ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards. Who You Are Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field; CPA certification is required. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in revenue recognition, preferably within the industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in NetSuite is a must; experience with Salesforce is highly desirable. Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information. Adaptability: Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic setting. Process Improvement: A track record of identifying and implementing improvements in business processes.
