Sr. Quality Analyst - Analytical Program & Capabilities - Golden Valley, MN
OVERVIEW In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to support our Pet Supply Chain Manufacturing sites as we move to digital data to ensure our product portfolio is designed for our customers. The ideal candidate will oversee the process for starting up new analytical technology on our manufacturing lines by pulling together cross-functional resources across Food Safety & Quality, Engineering, Research & Development, External Vendors, and the digital team. This team will ensure that all resources, processes, and maintenance programs are in place for the start-up and maintenance of the KPI metric as part of the overall analytical program. In addition, the person in this role will provide guidance on technical troubleshooting and future improvement opportunities. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES In this role, you will bring ideas and solutions forward on how to incorporate PAT (Process Analytical Technology) in ourmanufacturing sites Collaborate across ITQ (Innovation, Technology & Quality) to implement successful PAT (Process Analytical Technology) strategies. Inclusive of experimenting inline analytical methods to drive faster decisions and reduce costs. Partner with Blue and across ITQ digital teams to transform our current analytical practices. Lead and advance the digital support for quality as designed with cross cross-functional resource team including but not limited to FSQ, Engineering, R&D, Vendors, and Global Knowledge teams Effectively coordinate and oversee multiple projects across different manufacturing sites and pet platforms. Develop key success metrics and milestones for projects in collaboration with stakeholders (e.g. capacity creation, efficiency, KPI, sampling plan, etc). Provide training and coaching to manufacturing leads for NIR/FTIR and other inline technologies and terminologies used in the industry. Inclusive of experience with training and preparing content in documentation and/or creating training videos. Establish and maintain a program for the plants to ensure calibration and verification of inline and offline instruments to primary methods. Build connected partnerships externally to bring industry insights into ITQ. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Food Engineering or other related field with 5+ years of relevant experience in Food Quality or Analytical Methods Ability to develop short and long-term strategic technology plan Ability to effectively manage multiple projects – timelines, deadlines, ability to form short-term teams Understanding of lab operations, metrics, maintenance essentials Ability to foster teamwork and collaboration Communication skills, both written and oral Understanding of manufacturing processes to determine the best placement and utilization for inline analytical instrumentation. Willingness to travel less than 25% of the time PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or other related fields Experience in developing, planning, and executing gauge R&R studies within real-time manufacturing. Experience in determining proper sampling and identifying obstacles to proper split samples (changing temperatures, actively losing/changing moisture at the point of sampling, etc.) Knowledge and experience in statistics and statistical process control. Strong understanding of Analytical Quality Assurance programs and methods, especially secondary method maintenance and weaknesses in different approaches. Understanding and design of collaborative data analysis and programs. Understanding of HACCP and cGMP as pertains to ensuring continued product safety while capturing real-time quality design. Salary Range The salary range for this position is $91900.00 - $138000.00 / Annually.
