Sr. Project Manager - IT Systems (Remote - Contract)

Overview The Sr. Enterprise IT Systems Project Manager manages business/IT related projects through the entire lifecycle from strategic scope definition to requirements gathering, analysis, timeline and budget definition, and implementation support. This role also works with a variety of technical and functional colleagues within the business to define requirements for process improvement projects, develop required documentation and communicate status. This is a Temp-To-Hire, W-2 position. We are not able to do 1099 or C2C. It is a fully remote role that will need to be based in the U.S. You must meet our U.S. Eligibility requirements for work authorization as noted under "Additional Information" at the bottom of the job description. How you'll make an impact Execution Coordination, Communication, Documentation, and Training Ensure all work is carried out and documented in accordance with required corporate, divisional, and country regulatory standards, methods and procedures. Guide and assist in developing documentation for processes, including reference manuals, training materials, communication presentations, and support manuals. Assist Divisional and Regional Leadership with coordination of project plans, deliverables and communications. Develop integrated project plan; facilitate cross-team communication and status reporting; report on project health and risk and issue mitigation. Managing multiple concurrent Business and Information Technology related projects Standardize project management processes and project governance Responsible for creating and managing project plans, budget, resources and tracking progress against these areas Track and report weekly project status to project sponsors and stakeholders Lead SDLC quality gate audit/review sessions Work closely with senior leadership and managed key strategic initiatives Lead bi-weekly meetings with IT Leadership (Directors, VPs, and CIO) About You Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering or related field 5+ years related experience, within PMO management (preferably in employee benefits insurance, financial services or related industries) Project Management Professional Certification desired Expertise using common project management and flowchart software (MS Project, Easy Projects, DevOps, MS Visio, Gantt Charts, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook Strong ability to learn, adapt and contribute in challenging environments Self-motivated and able to work independently Project Management Professional (Project Management Institute) Certification desired Superior presentation skills (in-person and utilization of web conferencing platforms) Expertise using common project management and flowchart software (MS Project, Easy Projects, PlanView, MS Visio, etc.) Expertise building Power BI dashboards from various datasources including PlanView Excellent oral and written communication skills (ability to grasp, breakdown and convey complex concepts and ideas) Comfortable leading team project meetings and debriefing sessions between both C-level business executives and technical audiences Exceptional project management and time management capabilities Proficient PC skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Acrobat, etc.) Experience managing technology related projects and coordinating/collaborating between technology professionals and business executives Familiarity with CRM and AMP (Agency Management Platforms) such as Salesforce and Microsoft Dynamics WORK TRAITS Communication, Analytical, and Organization Skills Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills Must be independent, self−motivated, and goal and people oriented Proactive approach with attention to detail and proven ability to follow through Work Execution Change agent with ability to influence others outside of a direct reporting relationship Proven relationship building skills and high energy level Co-operative with colleagues, strong consultative approach working closely with IT and business constituents at all levels Standards and Practices Ability to manage/balance multiple priorities Assigns work and manages projects on a timely basis Excels in a self-service environment and has a “no job is too small” attitude Requirements Gathering Drive requirements gathering process by meeting with project stakeholders to define business and functional requirements, prototypes, and training materials. Work collaboratively with internal departments in the planning and analysis of requirements, process changes or enhancements. Business Analysis Defines detailed requirements, analyzes business needs, and validates solutions with our internal clients. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering technology solutions. Retrieve and analyze data from multiple systems for trends and exceptions and help determine business impact. Recommend solutions to problems based on business-specific facts.
