Sr. Program Manager

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

Abbott Heart Failure designs and manufactures complex, life-saving medical devices.  As a Program Manager in the Sustaining PMO, you will lead cross-functional projects that support heart failure products on the market and improve processes to impact the organization and our patients significantly.  Primarily manage product planning activities to maximize the use of the organization’s resources and meet established production specifications and schedules, volume, cost, waste tags, and quality standards.
 

Types of projects include product enhancements, line extensions, implementing new systems in operations, and projects that improve product design quality, manufacturing processes, supply chain resilience, or operations cost. 

This role is responsible for the planning and execution of critical projects that support the sustainment of current products and the achievement of operational goals.  You will:

Lead the most complex, large, or difficult production projects to produce schedules and plans and estimate the human resources, tools, and equipment needed to manufacture products.Contribute to the development of operating budgets for the production unit.Research, evaluate, and recommend changes to production processes, systems, technology, capital, equipment, or other assets that will enhance the organization’s production capabilities.Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example, in production, supply and logistics, maintenance, engineering, purchasing, or human resources) to integrate their activities into production plans, cost estimates, and schedulesLead, direct, evaluate, and develop production planning staff to ensure that their activities meet pre-established targetsBuild intelligent strategies to achieve each project’s goals.Use excellent interpersonal and influence skills to lead and motivate cross-functional team members (including those in manufacturing engineering, quality, R&D, regulatory, supply chain, production, and IT) to successful project completion.Creatively solve project issues and proactively mitigate risks.Communicate and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders from operators to executive leadership.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline7+ years of managing projects in the medical device industry
 

PREFERRED

Advanced DegreePMP CertificationExperience with systems like ERP (SAP), and PLM (Windchill) a plusExperience in operations (i.e. Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Supply Chain,

The base pay for this position is $144,100.00 – $288,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
