Advertising at Amazon is a fast-growing multi-billion dollar business that spans across desktop, mobile, and connected devices; encompasses ads on Amazon and a vast network of hundreds of thousands of third party publishers; and extends across US, EU, APAC, and an increasing number of international geographies.
Operating horizontally across almost all Amazon Advertising products, the Supply Quality program leverages proprietary and third-party technology to provide Amazon Advertising products invalid traffic (IVT) filtration, viewability prediction and measurement, and content adjacency policy enforcement capabilities.
The Viewability and User Engagement (VUE) team builds machine learning-based viewability prediction technology (likelihood of an ad being seen), and measurement technology that helps Amazon DSP customers target viewable ad placements and measure viewability across their ad campaigns. These measurement technologies work in browsers, mobile apps, and video players of Amazon and Third Party publishers. We build robust, highly scalable distributed systems with high throughput and stringent response times, using Java, Spark, Scala, and SQL relational databases. Our front end systems are on web technologies such as HTML, CSS, Javascript, and HTTP, measuring billions of ad impressions per day. We process terabytes of advertising measurement data every day to retrain our machine learning algorithms.
The VUE team continues to expand and is now seeking a Product Manager (Technical) to take the program to the next level.
Key job responsibilities
In this high-visibility role, you will be expected to:
- Define the short, medium, and long-term strategy for the program, aligning with stakeholders across Amazon Advertising products such as Amazon DSP.
- Articulate requirements for viewability prediction and measurement products that will be integrated into Amazon Advertising products.
- Work closely with engineering, program, and other stakeholders to deliver program goals.
- Foster a shared understanding of Viewability in digital advertising across Amazon Advertising.
- Advance industry standards on Viewability by collaborating with peers in industry working groups.
The team is based out of London - UK, and Bangalore - India. Stakeholders are spread across the globe, with most located in the US.
