About Institutional Business New Ventures

The Institutional Business New Ventures team at Equitable is a rapidly expanding, start-up business area which delivers innovative insurance solutions to institutional clients for protected investment and retirement income solutions. This position presents a rare opportunity to join a highly visible team at an early stage and grow with the business.Our mission is to help our clients secure their financial well-being so they can pursue long and fulfilling lives.

Institutional products include exciting growth markets which enhance retirement security for more Americans through in-plan annuities where Equitable is a leading provider of retirement income solutions in the defined contribution space. Our institutional products also include other traditional markets such as stable value and tailored offerings for adjacent markets like Health Savings Accounts. This team also supports New Ventures projects which looks to incubate and execute new commercial opportunities which can include new partnerships, insurance products, or service offerings.

The Team Member will assist in the design and delivery and maintenance of innovative product concepts to support the growth of the business. We are looking for someone with strong initiative, exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity; enabling us to discover deeper insights about our business and identify innovative ways to accelerate our growth.

Typical Projects will Include

Implementation: Support product implementation from initial ideation to an operational product by collaborating with stakeholders in the Institutional team, IT, Legal and other departments across EquitableManagement: Manage products through their lifecycle including identifying and building requirements for a backlog of improvement opportunities, maintaining compliance with regulations, and other matters to improve product performanceEquitable is an Agile organization.Familiarity with Agile development and related processes and structures is helpful.

Support team product innovation and implementation through research and analysis.Collaborate and manage project workstreams with internal stakeholders and clients, with accountability to timelines and outcomesLearn on the job market dynamics including specifics of product design, regulations, and operationsStrong written and verbal communicationAbility to manage complex and technical information with support from subject matter expertsConsistent process management with attention to detail


The base salary range for this position is $75,000 - $102,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.
