As Sr. Product Manager for High Throughput Sequencing Platforms, you will be responsible for the ongoing development and support of Illumina’s on-market production-scale platforms and core consumable portfolio with the goal of driving overall customer satisfaction and continued growth of Illumina’s high throughput sequencing business.
The successful candidate will be defining the product strategy, developing the roadmap, and executing to the business plans. As a highly collaborative individual with a successful track record in product management, this person can engage, lead, and influence cross-functional teams in implementing strategies to ensure customer success, drive increased adoption and utilization, and deliver on revenue goals and product performance milestones.

Must have >4 years of demonstrated success in product management within the life sciences or genomics fieldMust have complete product lifecycle management experienceTechnical knowledge of genomics, next-generation sequencing and molecular biology applications is requiredDeep knowledge of the NGS market, trends, applications, end-to-end workflows and customer needs is criticalAbility to perform analyses of customer consideration, purchasing patterns and competitive trendsExperience conducting market research, survey analysis, voice of customer, and other foundational marketing and product management activities is criticalAble to synthesize data to inform business case including scenarios and sensitivity analysesAbility to lead cross functional project teams and deal with complexityStrong customer-facing skills built through prior Sales, Technical or Field Support, or Marketing functionMust have strong analytical skills – ability to tie detailed analysis to larger strategy and make data driven decisionsProficient communicator with excellent presentation skills and the ability to present to diverse audiencesAbility to influence people and diverse stakeholder groups within a global, matrixed organizationIndependent, driven and strategically minded Thrives in a dynamic, fast paced environmentExceptional time and project management skills and organizational capabilities to drive work proactivelyWilling to travel up to 25% when travel reopensQualifications and Other Requirements:
BS in relevant field (engineering, marketing, or genomics-related profession); advanced degree preferredMust have at least 5+ years of industry experience in Product ManagementLocation at Foster City or San Diego officeTitle and level are flexible depending on the skill set on the candidate.The estimated base salary range for the Sr. Product Manager - NovaSeq X Series Core Consumables role based in the United States of America is: $105,600 - $158,400. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
