Sr. Principal Human Resources Specialist
Title: Sr. Principal Human Resources Specialist

Description: Key Responsibilities:
• Benefits Administration:
o Assist in the day-to-day administration of employee benefits programs.
o Support the annual benefits open enrollment process, including the preparation of materials and communication to employees.
o Ensure accurate and timely processing of benefits enrollments, changes, and terminations through our third party system (Alight).
o Coordinate with benefits vendors and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues and ensure service delivery.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
o Prepare regular reports on benefits utilization, costs, and trends for management review.
o Assist in the preparation of benefits-related metrics for compliance reporting and audits.
o Assist in the preparation of compliance reports, including non-discrimination testing for the 401(k) plan and 5500s.
• Employee Support:
o Respond to employee inquiries regarding plans, eligibility, and claims processes.
o Provide assistance to employees and assist with problem resolution.
o Support new hire orientation sessions and exit interviews to ensure employees are informed about their benefits and 401k options.
• Compliance and Documentation:
o Ensure that benefits and 401k programs comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and ACA.
o Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of employee benefits, plan documents, and compliance reports.
o Assist with audits and the preparation of necessary documentation for compliance purposes.
• Project Support:
o Manage renewals and marketings in collaboration with our broker, Aon.
o Participate in benefits-related projects, such as the implementation of new benefits programs or system upgrades.
Qualifications:
• Education:
o Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience:
o 2+ years of experience in benefits and 401k administration or a related HR role.
o Experience with benefits data analysis and reporting.
o Knowledge of federal and state regulations governing employee benefits.
• Skills:
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
o Familiarity with HRIS systems (e.g., Workday, ADP) and benefits administration software.
o Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
o Excellent communication and customer service skills.
o Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
