Sr. Planned Maintenance Systems Specialist

PMS content owner, responsible to develop, maintain and drive continual improvement including equipment lists, related classification (class flag and company defined criticality) and job cards (including required parts and labor). Responsible to run feasibility analysis and ensure labor hours required by the maintenance plan are aligned with shipboard resource availability. Interprets and presents results of the KPI reports prepared by the analysts. Responsible to ensure PMS in in alignment with all regulatory bodies (Class, Flag, Solas/IMO, US Coast Guard, Port State, or internal/HESS).

Essential Functions:

Evaluate and implement all the necessary changes, updates and revisions of PMS details and descriptions in coordination with Tech Ops SMEs and Technical Operations Manager (TOMs). Continuously improve on jobs and processes for Planned Maintenance Systems. Ensure safety and environmental equipment has state of the art maintenance plan. Proactively coordinate with sister brands to ensure alignment across fleet. Review and propose optimization to existing PMS structures. Review and ensure proper conformity reports, statistical analysis, KPIs, and others as needed are issued to Director, Marine Asset Management and Fleet Operations Center (FOC) on proper status of equipment maintenance. Lead and coach analyst and asset management travelling shipboard maintenance and ensure standardize approach during ship visits, internal reviews, and general approach. Lead problem analysis process (e.g. identify recurring incidents) and ensure appropriate alternatives are evaluated, recommend solutions, and manage the implementation of the approved resolution plan. Oversee ship board activity and ensuring task due dates and extensions are in line with CCL procedures. Report nonconformance to TOMs and/or SMEs for follow up with shipboard personnel. May be involved is other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering required  Master's Degree preferred 5+ years of experience in technical engineer field, with 3 years being in cruise line industry required. Experience in cruise industry, coast guard or similar preferred  Previous shipboard experience preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Have full understanding of Health, Environmental, Security, Maritime Safety and Environment Compliance (HESS) Excellent communication and organizational skills; Knowledgeable of ship’s machinery and safety equipment. Proficiency in extracting and manipulating data from systems such as InfoShip, AMOS, Maximo, SAP Experience managing large quantities of data. Ability to work with computer applications and technical software tools (Excel)

Physical Demands: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.

Travel: Less than 25% of ship-based travel

Work Conditions: Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.

This position is classified as "in-office." As an in-office role, it requires employees to work from a designated Carnival office in South Florida from Tuesday through Thursday.  Employees may work from home on Mondays and Fridays. Some positions may require additional in-office time each week and final schedule is determined by your leader.  Candidates must be located in (or willing to relocate to) the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area.

The range for this role’s base salary is $60,600 - $85,000.  Offers to selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
