The Payroll Tax Analyst position serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) and escalation point for all payroll tax-related activities for their assigned client(s) and non-assigned clients, as needed.
Essential Functions:
Year-end project activities including testing, W-2 balancing, file validation, and releaseProcessing of W-2 Corrections and ReissuesServe as Subject Matter Expert for all tax-related project activity for assigned client(s)Perform User Acceptance Testing for tax updates and system enhancementsParticipate in tax related testing and validation during client implementation projectsResearch and respond to complex payroll tax questions received internally or from clientManage service escalations from internal and external clientsManage special projects required or needed to support client ongoing deliveryProvide reports to clients and account team as requiredProactively look for resolution of potential service delivery issuesHelp identify and implement ideas for improving processes and methodologiesWork with internal teams to ensure continuity of service deliveryLead adherence to standard practices and client contractual commitmentsParticipate in cross-departmental initiatives to ensure proper consideration and action of regulatory and tax-impacting changesTrain team associates and act as Subject Matter ExpertProvide work direction to support resources and validate resultsMonitor daily workflow of client team and ensure completion of activitiesDaily, monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations activities as neededEmployee tax panel setups and auditsPeriodic auditing of client specific tax programs and tablesPreparation of periodic and amendment reportingOther duties, as assigned by your immediate supervisor and/or managerRequired Skills and Experience:
5+ years related experience in 1000+ employee, US multi-state, multi-FEIN payroll tax administration3+ years related experience in payroll outsourcing role2+ years of SAP/ECP ExperienceAbility to calculate payroll tax withholdingsSME in federal, state, local payroll tax and reporting requirementsExperience engaging with federal, state, territory and local tax agencies for POA requirements, reporting/payment requirements and changes, notice resolution, and penalty abatementClient management expertiseAbility to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and set expectations for internal partners with competing priorities, in a fast-paced, deadline-driven organizationAbility to work will with minimal supervisionAbility to work independently as well as with a teamExcellent written and verbal communication skillsSkills in MS Excel to include V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, MacrosAdvanced analytical and problem solvingPreferred Education and Experience:
FPC or CPP Certification3+ years of Canadian payroll tax/YE experience a plus!MS Access experienceBenefits

35,600 USDMaximum :
