Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer​ Job Number: 353936 Category: Design Engineering Description: Job Title: Sr. Mechanical Project Engineer​ Pay Rate: $80K - 110K/salary + 10% bonus DoE Location: Louisville, KY, Memphis, TN, OR Cincinnati, OH ZIP Code: 40223 Job Type: Direct Hire Start Date: Right Away Keywords: #MechanicalProjectEngineeringJobs #DesignEngineeringJobs Job Description: * Apply engineering theory and principles to problems of industrial layout and design. * Interpret engineering sketches, specifications and drawings. * Research / review customer specifications to understand requirements and ensure compliance. * Serve as the lead coordinator of mechanical design activities for the project. * Work with Project Management to develop and manage the engineering design plan and schedule for the project. * Serve as the liaison between mechanical systems engineering and all internal and external stakeholders of the project, including engineering subcontractors and customers" representatives. * Collaborate with project team members including mechanical design engineers, electrical engineers, project managers and customers to ensure project requirements are met. * Ensure design compliance with and customer standards. * Research / review available as-built drawings. * Research / review available architectural drawings. * Travel to customer facilities to conduct site surveys and document as-built conditions. * Develop layout drawings and sketches as needed to convey scope and ideas. * Specify components and materials required as per the design and create equipment manifests. * Utilize AutoCAD and/or Inventor software to review and collaborate on material handling system designs. * Check drawings and provide feedback to the design team. * Prepare drawing packages and transmittals for customer reviews. * Perform a material take-off from project drawings and bills-of-materials and generate purchase requisitions. * Prepare specifications, designs, or sketches for machines, components, or materials as required. * Report out on drawing status on a regular cadence, maintaining the project schedule. * Provide technical support for vendors, field installation personnel and engineering subcontractors as required. * Attend trainings to enhance professional and technical knowledge Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field. * Equivalent work experience will also be considered as a substitute for education. * Minimum 5 years" experience in mechanical conveyor / installation design. * Strong communication/interpersonal skills as this PE will collaborate and work cross functional with the Mechanical /Systems engineering teams. * Must have strong experience checking engineering system drawings * Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Inventor CAD software If you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
