Sr. Manager of Government Affairs Western States (Remote)

The Sr. Manager of Government Affairs will lead the implementation of government affairs strategies and activities for the Western States that advance the interests of Niagara Bottling and the bottled water industry. The Sr. Manager will provide expertise to the Vice President of Legislative Affairs and other Executive Leaders as needed to help develop and implement successful government relations strategies that reflect Niagara’s goals and priorities. The job includes representing the company before Western state governments and administrative agencies, community affairs as well as strategically planning, managing and executing other activities and events that advance the company’s overall objectives. 

The Sr. Manager of Government Affairs will report to the Vice President of Legislative Affairs.  

Essential Functions

Manage legislative initiatives through collaborative efforts with Western State governmentsDirects the analysis and interpretation of government policies and their potential impact to Niagara and the bottled water industryEnsure successful implementation of legislative strategies in the Western States to advance the interest of Niagara and its business interests.Establish reports on business opportunities and legislation affecting company policiesParticipate in State and Regional Industry and/or Professional AssociationsDevelop and Execute a Western States legislative strategy that will lead to tangible resultsLead local governmental relations activities with members of Niagara Cares Teams when appropriate and necessaryPlease note this job description is not designed to contain a comprehensive list of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:10+ Years  – Experience in State Government Affairs and Advocacy

Must have experience working as legislative staff and advocacy including experience in the areas of recycling, EPR, DRS.

Preferred Qualifications:10+ Years – Experience in negotiating and passing EPR and DRS legislation. Experience in building successful campaigns and coalitions to achieve legislative objectives.

$141,342.07 - $204,946.01 / Yearly

Bonus Target: 15% Annual
