As a Global Medical Education and Content Development Sr. Manager for SPM Shoulder + Hip, you will lead the development and refinement of educational pathways for shoulder and hip specialties, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure global communication and training effectiveness for healthcare professionals.
What will you be doing?
In this role, you will serve as the lead point of contact for global medical education regarding SPM shoulder and hip procedures and products. You will develop and implement global education strategies that align with business objectives, product launches, and drive product adoption and the standard of care. This includes creating educational pathways for SPM shoulder and hip procedures using interactive adult learning principles, addressing diverse customer segments through didactic, skills training, and online learning. You will maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical research and strategic content to support key marketing messages and lead the global medical education and digital strategy for new product launches. Additionally, you will oversee digital asset development, manage the long-term ecosystem for digital products, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand educational reach. You will also partner with global scientific societies, develop relationships with KOLs, and consult with senior leadership and commercial partners to integrate digital education into customer learning pathways. Throughout, you will ensure adherence to Smith & Nephew’s compliance and ethics policies while communicating effectively with internal and external partners to drive educational success.
What will you need to be successful?
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 5-7 years of experience in medical education or the medical device industry. You should have expertise in content development, digital education, and delivering training through various formats. Strong communication, project management, and relationship-building skills are essential, along with the ability to adapt to customer needs and solve problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, attention to detail, and flexibility are also required.
Travel Requirements: up to 40%
All field sales professionals that are required to gain entry into healthcare facilities to perform the basic remit of their role, must successfully complete our credentialing process, which often includes COVID 19 vaccine management.
