Description
Our client is looking to bring on a Sr. Manager of Corporate Accounting to their team! This is a high visibility role with a large, global organization here in Houston! The company has phenomenal benefits and a very flexible hybrid schedule! They are open to 2-3 days in office/week with the other 2-3 being work from home!
Sr. Manager of Accounting Responsibilities:
• Assist in managing the monthly close process and preparing financial statement schedules for review.
• Support team members with various tasks including journal entries, accruals, intercompany allocations, and research projects as required.
• Provide direct supervision and function as a backup leader to the Director for the overall team.
• Oversee the invoice finance review and approval process.
• Assist with internal and external audit requests.
• Record and review journal entries for investment activity, internal/external debt, rent, and other areas.
• Approve and review coding for cash receipts and deposits.
• Act as a backup for the preparation of month-end variance analyses, monthly forecast updates, and the annual budget process.
• Provide support for reconciling and posting the monthly payroll journal entry and overseeing monthly payroll/benefit account reconciliations.
• Collaborate with other Corporate departments and divisions to resolve issues.

Requirements
Sr. Manager of Accounting Experience Requirements:
Proven experience in Month End Close procedures.
• CPA is required!
• Experience with a publicly traded company either out of public accounting or industry
• At least 2 years of high volume general ledger month end close experience!
• SOX
