The company was formed in October 2018 through a combination of Post Holdings’ private brands businesses and is owned by Post Holdings and funds affiliated with Thomas H. Lee Partners, L.P. (“THL”), a private equity firm. Responsibilities The Supply Planning Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining the master supply plan for one of 8th Avenue’s business units. The person in this role will be required to maintain a constant and balanced focus on cost optimization, quality and service. This position must understand capacities and constraints from key suppliers, including 8th Avenue’s own manufacturing plants, external co-manufacturers and ingredient/material suppliers. This role is also responsibilities for working with deployment and distribution functions to maintain appropriate levels of finished goods inventory across 8th Avenue’s delivery network. The individual in this role will work cross functionally and collaboratively with other functional team members, including Sales, Demand Planning, Manufacturing, Customer Service, Distribution and Procurement. **Duties and Responsibilities:** Analyze demand requirements against supply capacities to develop near and long-term supply plans for 8th Avenue manufacturing facilities and distribution sites Ensure supply plans satisfy demand requirements while balancing inventories against key performance metrics (e.g. inventory dollars, turns, obsolescence and customer service) Utilize system planning tools to aid in developing a rough cut capacity plan and establish master supply plans Perform root cause analysis for supply and inventory imbalances Work collaboratively with other critical business functions, including Manufacturing, Customer Service, Sales, Demand Planning, Procurement and Distribution) Work directly with plant scheduling functions to review production plans/inventory levels Identify and promptly communicate known supply constraints and/or production issues to senior leadership Develop and/or recommend alternative production and distribution plans to alleviate short supply issues and maximize service levels Maintain critical planning data in all supply planning systems (planning parameters, safety stocks, etc.) Lead and/or participate in product life cycle management activities for the phase-in of new products and discontinuation of end-of-life SKUs – coordinating with other functions to maximize service and minimize inventory risks Monitor, track and report key performance metrics such as inventory values, schedule adherence, obsolescence and customer service levels Lead, facilitate, and/or participate in all supply planning improvement initiatives.
