Job DescriptionThe person in this position is responsible for coordinating sourcing activities for the Building Climate Solutions business unit. This includes collaborating on the development and implementation of long- and short-range sourcing strategies for very complex and high-risk items.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Collaboration on developing global sourcing strategies for a broad range of commodities and components, defining scope of projects and identifying savings opportunities.Reviewing negotiated contracts and monitoring relationships with suppliers.Implementing policies and metrics to ensure supplier performance and savings goals are realized.Working with Strategic Sourcing Mgrs., Buyers, Engineers, and leadership to identify and support new product needs.Facilitate the identification of new sources in to meet business requirements.Serve as the primary interface between the BCS business unit and Strategic Sourcing Managers, Buyers, and Suppliers on strategic/critical quality, engineering and procurement matters. QualificationsWHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Requires a bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.A master's degree or equivalent is preferred. Requires at least 12 years related experiences.Knowledge of contract law, the RFQ process, supplier and part qualification processes, low-cost country sourcing.Excellent negotiation, presentation, analytical, planning, project management, written, and verbal skills.Ability to lead a cross functional commodity team and work across the organization at all levels while developing strategic commodity plans.WHAT WE OFFER:
