**Job Description:**
Lead the site’s Engineering teams to ensure that Medical Devices can be reliably manufactured. This includes creating common processes for key responsibilities, such as: validation, problem solving, fixture design, and data analysis across the different Engineering groups. Responsible for leading and managing complex projects and teams. Guide and mentor the engineering team and other departments in resolving manufacturing and production issues, improving engineering and project systems, and identifying and resolving product or process issues. Job duties:
+ Integrate the activities between departments to solve problems associated with sustaining product, which include improvements to existing processes and tooling/ equipment and new technology.
+ Take a proactive approach in conjunction with production to maintain the required output based on the sales forecast, including the production floor, tooling and equipment, and recommendations on personnel.
+ Champion the use and implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and 5s methodologies.
+ Lead and develop direct reports.
+ Provide input to Management Review.
+ Mentor Interns, Engineers, and Technicians.
+ Comply with applicable Laws and Regulations, adhere to Quality Management System processes and requirements as well as demonstrate Ethics and Integrity in all matters and at all levels throughout the organization.

**Qualifications:**
1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or a related field of study.
2. A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant work experience in medical device or med-tech industry.
3. A minimum of two (2) years of management experience.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Ability to read and prepare technical documentation.
6. Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and process.
7. Knowledge of medical and technical development.
8. Project management skills.
9. Knowledge of raw material and suppliers.
10. Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
11. Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, statistical software, and SolidWorks.
**Desired Opportunities**
1. A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant manufacturing engineering experience.
2. A minimum of three (3) years of management experience.
3. Knowledge of process improvement tools and statistical tools, including Kaizen, Design of Experiments (DOE), and Process.
4. Capability Cpk for process development characterization and optimization preferred.
5. Proficiency in fixture design preferred.
6. Background in Lean/Six Sigma techniques.
7. Proven history to manage multiple projects and multiple teams.
