Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Cobrand Program Strategy & Marketing, influences, leads, and expands Macy’s Cobrand card portfolio through collaborative and mutually beneficial partnerships with Citi and American Express.
This role focuses on driving Macy’s cobrand customer growth by strategically designing initiatives centered on acquisition, engagement, and retention.
The Senior Manager leads the development of new strategies, fosters innovation, drives test-and-learn opportunities, and builds partnership business and marketing functions to define the mission, vision, operating model, and processes for this function.
What You Will Do
Advocate for Cobrand strategic objectives and secure support across Macy’s enterprise, collaborating with Technology, Finance, Operations, and Marketing teams. Partner with American Express and Citi to prioritize strategic investments that drive both short-term profitability and long-term growth. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design initiatives that enhance Cobrand cardholder acquisition, activation, spending, and retention. Foster a test-and-learn culture to identify and capitalize on innovative opportunities for Cobrand growth. Develop new offers and promotions that drive incremental sales and profitable portfolio expansion. Partner with Campaign Execution teams, including CRM, to create targeting strategies, analyze results, track metrics, and manage budgets to ensure flawless campaign execution. Oversee the Cobrand marketing creative process with key partners, ensuring brand consistency, clarity of messaging, legal compliance, and effective customer communication. Negotiate and develop experiential event activations for Cobrand cardholders, leveraging partnerships to deliver unique and valuable experiences. Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to create customer-facing and backend technology roadmaps, launching new enhancements to maintain a competitive edge. Report Cobrand forecasts and program performance to leadership, providing insights and actionable recommendations to shape future strategies. Facilitate strategy and review sessions with leaders to align on strategic decisions and initiatives. Collaborate with Legal teams to negotiate agreements and ensure compliance with all regulations. Work closely with Marketing teams to optimize campaign exposure and achieve sales objectives. Improve operational processes and drive efficiency across business functions. Manage Cobrand marketing funds, ensuring optimal allocation and usage in line with strategic goals. Mentor and develop the Cobrand team by setting clear goals, conducting performance reviews, and fostering professional growth. In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned.

Who You Are

Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply. 5+ years of experience in marketing strategy, partner marketing and/or loyalty and credit. Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision. Able to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs.
