OVERVIEW

The Sr. Manager, Corporate Development will provide analytical support and manage a broad range of top-priority strategic assignments while working alongside senior leadership of ASR Group and its affiliated companies & subsidiaries.  This role will provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership to support decision-making in connection with, but not be limited to, (i) corporate and entity-level planning & development, (ii) identification, ranking, origination and execution of inorganic investments/partnerships, (iii) development of business cases associated with organic investments, and (iv) post-investment integrations, when needed. In this high-visibility position, the Sr. Manager, Corporate Development will work closely with the top leadership of ASR Group and its affiliated companies & subsidiaries, potential strategic partners, external advisors, and providers of capital. 

 

 

 

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Apply advanced analytical skills to: assess competitive landscape and attractiveness of select industries of interest map out key industry players and drivers of competitive advantage develop strategic business plans identify strategic gaps and prioritization of gap-filling initiatives screen and prioritize potential acquisition and/or partnership targets Contribute in the development and communication of the group’s M&A strategy Build financial and operating models for a variety of matters such as cash flow forecasts, cost of capital estimations, corporate valuations, determination of Internal Rate of Return, and financial covenants compliance tests Assist in monitoring of financial performance of prior ASR Group investments in assets/companies Project-manage a broad range of assignments such as due diligences, feasibility studies and business integrations, as necessary Prepare reports for quarterly updates to the group’s Executive Committee and/or Board of Directors Over time, develop in-depth knowledge of the sweeteners and sustainable packaging industries of interest

 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

At least 8+ years of work experience in roles involving analysis of direct equity/debt investments, corporate development, strategic planning,  and/or corporate finance, gained at financial services institutions, management consulting firms and/or commodity-exposed companies Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field from accredited top-tier university M.B.A. or degree in related fields from an accredited top-tier university is a plus
