If you’re looking for a role that combines leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration, this is your chance to make a significant impact. **What You Will Do** + Review customer requests for proposals, captures requirements, review terms and conditions for acceptability and compliance with company policies and procedures, assist in proposal development and participates in securing required management approval for submittal of proposals to customers. + Lead negotiation, development, management and implementation of highly complex major contracts that form the business relationships with customers and partners. + Act as principal interface with internal and external customers on all contractual matters throughout the contract life cycle and implements strategies to build lasting relationships. + Engage company resources, including legal, operations, engineering, program management and pricing, as necessary to assess the risk of terms and conditions and their impact to an opportunity. Recognize all levels of risks and develops unique ways of mitigating them using contract terms and business processes. + Advise on contractual rights and obligations to protect the organization’s legal and business interests. + Manage non-routine legal and business issues through senior functional management, referring to counsel when necessary. + Manage existing contracts from ‘cradle to grave’ while ensuring compliance to contract terms and identifying and seeking adjustment for out-of-scope changes. + Work with Global Trade personnel to ensure compliance with all import/export regulations. + Compile and maintains contractual information to ensure ease of accessibility and retrieval of data and documents in accordance with company retention policies. + Operate in accordance with company policies and complies with accepted business ethics. + Able to travel both internationally and domestically, on an intermittent basis. **Qualifications You Must Have** + Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience + Canadian Citizenship required. + Must be able to obtain Government of Canada security clearance up to the Secret level and access to controlled goods. + Must have deep knowledge of Canadian Government contract and licensing terms. + Extensive experience negotiating, structuring and administrating contractual documents within the aerospace and defense, government and commercial industry. + Understanding and awareness of the applicability of US Government FAR/DFARS on Canadian companies. + Experience in proposal development, including review, requirements capture, compliance, and approvals. + Candidate must have a demonstrated understanding of Industrial Regional Benefits and working with Industry Canada. ​ **Qualifications We Prefer** + Critical thinking, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, able to tackle complex issues + Detail oriented, responsive and follows through on commitments. Thrives in a complex, cross-functional business environment. Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills + Previous experience in a customer facing role with polished presentation skills. Ability to comfortably interact with and advise across multiple levels of management.
