Sr. Manager, Contract Operations
**About the Role** This role is central to advancing legal operations excellence, blending deep contracting expertise with modern contract management practices and technologies. As part of a high-impact and fast-growing legal operations team, you will play a critical role in reimagining and optimizing how contracts are managed and executed at scale across a global organization. You'll lead transformation by building and scaling best-in-class contract operations, incorporating process improvements, tooling, and data insights. This includes leveraging GenAI to accelerate contract review, obligation tracking, and workflow automation. Partnering closely with legal, business, and procurement teams, you'll help deliver smarter, faster contracting outcomes that improve efficiency. **Key Responsibilities** + Lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to streamline and scale contracting processes across the enterprise. + Design and implement best-in-class contract lifecycle management (CLM) practices, automation, and GenAI-powered solutions in close partnership with business and technology teams. + Define and execute long-term contract operations strategy in alignment with broader legal and business priorities. + Identify operational gaps and opportunities across contract intake, drafting, negotiation, execution, and post-signature processes. + Drive innovation through the use of GenAI for tasks such as clause standardization, risk detection, post-signature obligation extraction, and contract summarization. + Co-lead system implementation efforts with technology partners, ensuring solutions are fit-for-purpose, user-friendly, and well-adopted. + Manage CLM Program Manager and extended supplier support teams, providing guidance, prioritization, and support to drive program execution. + Run CLM governance committees to ensure alignment across enterprise stakeholders, drive visibility, and prioritize program initiatives effectively. + Define and track key performance metrics and reporting to drive data-informed decision making and continuous improvement. **Minimum Qualifications** + 10+ years of experience in legal operations, contract operations, or process/technology transformation roles and 3+ years of Salesforce experience. + Strong understanding of contract lifecycle management processes, including contract structures, risk frameworks, and execution workflows. + Experience deploying or scaling CLM platforms, including technology evaluation, implementation, and change management. + Familiarity with GenAI technologies and their application in legal or contract workflows. **Preferred Qualifications** + Experience with DocUsign is a bonus! + Strong, team-oriented collaborator, with confidence and flexibility to perform in nimble, rapidly changing and growing environments, as well as build relationships and gain credibility. + Superior analytical and legal skills, mature judgment, innovative thinking and a desire to take the initiative and think two steps ahead. + Substantive experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts across various contract types. + Experience working within a global organization and managing region-specific contracting considerations. + Proven experience leading strategic programs involving enterprise systems, with demonstrated ability to influence at multiple levels. + Passionate about your work and a desire to have a big impact. + Embody the highest standards of integrity, ethics and accountability. + Enthusiasm about Uber and our mission! For Chicago, IL-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For San Francisco, CA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$180,000 per year - USD$200,000 per year. For Seattle, WA-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$162,000 per year - USD$180,000 per year. For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of comp. You will also be eligible for various benefits.
