Job DescriptionThe Client Solutions and Strategy team is part of Visa Canada’s Products and Solutions team, responsible for evaluating & driving the GTM strategy for new product opportunities, resolving complex product related issues, and serving as the client facing arm of the product organization. The CS&S team is looking for a Senior Manager to join and play a key role in delivering high impact projects and leading complex cross functional initiatives.
Essential Functions
Leading strategic projects (design and execution) or major workstreams, including day to day project management and leading team activities to meet goals and timelines
Partnering with stakeholders in other functional areas (e.g., merchant sales and solutions, marketing, sales, risk, innovation) and across global regional teams to execute projects in ways that leverage the breadth and depth of Visa’s resources
Driving rigorous, fact based, quantitative analysis to support recommendations and ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations
Supporting account executives on building content around key product updates on a regular basis
Building a point of view on key industry trends and market opportunities across a variety of different payment areas, and the associated impact for Visa
Building out unique, creative and impactful solutions in collaboration with cross functional partners
Managing the ongoing reporting of progress on product strategy and key functional KPIs
Developing clear and concise communication, including internal and external presentation decks for executives
The successful candidate will have:
Experience in or significant exposure to the payments industry in a strategy or consulting capacity
Ability to independently lead and manage complex projects, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
Ability to structure and manage complex cross functional projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellect, and ability to effectively manipulate and analyze large data sets to develop insights and recommendations
Personal presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to internal stakeholders and external business partners
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with functional and regional leaders within Visa
Self-starter, team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic, and flexible, with excellent presentation and storytelling skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities
This is an individual contributor role, reporting into the Canada Segment Lead for Client Solutions and Strategy.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs
QualificationsBasic Qualifications:
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
• 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
• MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic
experience
• Experience working in or with banking / payments industry
• Previous experience in a management consulting firm
• We are looking for individuals with management consulting or corporate strategy experience within the banking and payments space
