Job Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include SQL, CRM, EDI and ERP administrator. Proactively manage and maintain server, network, and firewall systems. Define and document best practice and support procedures. Secures application system by enforcing policies; defining and monitoring access. Reporting application operational status by gathering application metrics into quarterly reviews per business. Mentor/cross train team members on existing and new technologies. Maintain, support, implement, upgrade, and deploy critical databases and applications to meet business requirements. Monitor, analyze and measure database performance and storage needs. Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment. Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as occasional weekend maintenance. Develop, implement, and maintain change control and testing process for modifications to databases. Maintain confidentiality and uphold Magna business ethics. Carry out special tasks at Management’s direction and any other duties as assigned by Leadership.
ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Windows Systems environment and performs Operating System and patch testing on all changes prior to installation. Executes basic PowerShell or Command Shell commands. Monitors and reviews system logs and detects and troubleshoots problems. Writes basic technical operating system documentation. Manage the deployment, monitoring, maintenance, development, upgrade, installation and support of all IT systems, including telecommunications, servers, PCs, operating systems, hardware, software, printers and office automation equipment. Investigate and diagnose network problems, monitor network performance, test for weaknesses, collect statistics and make recommendation for improving software, hardware, upgrades, patches, re-configurations and/or purchases the company’s IT systems and carrying out routine configuration and installation of IT solutions. Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords. Responds to critical IT emergencies after regular work hours as needed Assists users and information technology staff with desktop technology basic information and configurations. Performs basic troubleshooting for desktop hardware and software. Provides desktop "help desk" function. Orders and receives desktop equipment. Maintains inventory of hardware and software. Administers systems, repairs and licensing. Diagnoses faults. Supports, sets up, images and prepares computers for users, supports both phones and computers for all employees of the division. Supports annual IT and IT Security audits, including creating action plans, and responsibilities for remediation. Analyzes the business needs of clients and stakeholders to help identify business problems and propose solutions. Performs a liaison function between the company and the Global Magna IT team. Analyzes, communicates and validates requirements for changes to business processes, policies and information systems. Understands business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and recommends solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals. Ensures the proper day-to-day operations of internal applications and peripheral equipment Analyzes plant systems relating to manufacturing, finance, shop floor, barcoding and MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems)

Proven ability to lead and guide a department effectively with the company’s priorities in mind. Self-directed, able to work independently with the ability to delegate tasks, if appropriate. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications. Cloud experience preferably Azure. Must be organized and have the ability to manage projects of varying lengths. Proven ability to direct and manage deployment/rollouts with internal communications to impacted groups.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or related field, preferred. Experience working in 24x7 manufacturing environments. Minimum of 2 years’ Leadership/Supervision experience. Minimum of 2 years’ working as a sysadmin within a manufacturing environment/site. Minimum of 2 years’ in Windows administration is required. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in personal computer repair required.
